RINA is currently recruiting for a Turkey Marine Technical Support Senior Manager to join its office in Istanbul within the Marine South East Europe & MEA Region Division.

Mission

The role is focused on contributing to South Europe Marine Area Operations through:

Key Accountabilities

• providing technical assistance and support to the Region/Area Operations, customers and local authorities
• coordinating and cooperating with Region/Area Operations in order to achieve the prompt, efficient and high-quality service to the customers
• providing standard routine activities relevant to:
  • Transfer of Class
  • Transfer of ISM, ISPS, MLC
  • Statements of class maintained
  • Force Majeure
• supporting and following-up classification, statutory and PSC activities
• cooperating with Region/Area Operations to ensure the proper monitoring of the customers' fleet
• identifying areas of improvement in the Region/Area Operations through monitoring of their performance and customers' feedback
• contributing to technical service delivery in compliance with rules and regulations, including authorization for remote surveys for cases not foreseen by the Instruction to Surveyors
• contributing to the development of modern survey tools and technologies
• contact point for Turkiye Flag Administration
• contact point and Quality Manager for TURKAK for 17020 accreditation

Education

What we are looking for

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine engineering, shipbuilding, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of ships and marine structures.
• Previous experience working in or with a classification society is highly beneficial.
• Comprehensive understanding of international maritime regulations and standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code).
• Ability to interpret and apply various classification society rules and guidelines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, shipyards, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Strong analytical skills to assess technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Attention to detail and ability to critically evaluate engineering designs and proposals.
• Advanced English knowledge
