    Stage 1:
    Preliminary Design

    • Design the tooth profiles and clearances for the first set of bevel gears to ensure smooth and
    efficient operation.

    Stage 2:
    Intermediate Design


    • Calculate the pitch diameters and number of teeth for the second set of bevel gears based on the
    gear ratios and the dimensions of the first set of gears.

    • Ensure that the tooth profiles and clearances of the second set of bevel gears are compatible with
    those of the first set of gears.

    • Check for interference between the gears and make any necessary modifications to the tooth
    profiles and clearances.

    • Verify the alignment and assembly of the gears to ensure proper meshing and minimal backlash.

    Stage 3:
    Final Design


    • Repeat the same steps as in Stage 2 for the third set of bevel gears based on the gear ratios and
    the dimensions of the second set of gears.

    • Confirm that the tooth profiles, clearances, and assembly of the third set of bevel gears are
    compatible with the preceding gears.

    • Finalize the design and create detailed drawings for the manufacturing of the 3-stage bevel gear
    system.

    • Perform stress and fatigue analysis to ensure that the gears can withstand the expected load and
    operational conditions.

    • Verify the design with computer simulations and, if possible, perform prototype testing to validate
    the performance of the gears.
    Throughout the design process, it's important to consider assembly, alignment, stress analysis and
    test the performance of each stage of the gear system. Also, ensure that the final technical drawing
    complies with standard engineering practices and includes all necessary dimensions and views.
