Part-Time Faculty: Motorcycle Safety Instructor

The Workforce and Economic Development Division of Metropolitan Community College seeks a qualified instructor to teach motorcycle safety courses.

Responsibilities:

• Teach motorcycle safety classes, covering topics such as basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe riding practices.
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities meet safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and course completion.

Requirements:

• Authorized by the Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program to teach in Missouri.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement.
• A satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check upon hire.
• Certification as a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to do basic motorcycle maintenance, including damaged parts replacement, fluid changes, carburetor/fuel system repair, tire and brake replacement, and troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to transport fuel and refuel motorcycles, push motorcycles in and out of storage, and test ride motorcycles to ensure they meet safety requirements prior to class.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined by assignment.
